Godzilla Attacks Switzerland

Written by Godzilla at 05:04 18/4-2012

Today Godzilla wrapped up the Monte Rosa Tour (SUI) with a honorable 9th place in the GC for climbing captain Jeff Renshaw (NZL). With two solid top 10 finishes (stages 2 (10th) and 4 (6th)) and good tactical damage control on stages 3 and 5, Renshaw finished the tour 2'04" behind local hero Andreas Mayer (Doomsday Bunnies) and got his first points on a stage race. Renshaw left Geneve motivated for the coming challenges of season. His recent convocation to captain New Zealand's national team on Classica Verona (next saturday) also helped boost his morale and inspire him to ride hard. Godzilla's manager Yopparai gave Renshaw some well deserved days off before the Classica. Yopparai was all smiles after the race. With Renshaw's positive result, he hinted that Benne Cappon may even no longer be forced to carry water bottles for the rest of the season, as previously threatened after the prologue fiasco.
